Rekha Somani Foundation has been set up in loving memory of Rekha Devendra Somani who left us at early age of 49. Rekha Devendra Somani besides being a woman of extraordinary kindness was a brilliant scholar and a woman of many talents. Rekha Devendra Somani made profound impact to the lives of many students after completing her M.Phil in Economics, first as a Professor of Economics and then as a Principal. Rekha Devendra Somani was always in quest for knowledge and therefore she pursued chartered Accountancy qualification at the age of 38. While raising two beautiful daughters and helping her husband CA Devendra Kumar Somani in his professional practice, she qualified as Chartered Accountant at the age of 41. Never to rest on her laurels, after qualifying, Rekha Devendra Somani started educating and training young students for Chartered Accountancy course.

Humans are ephemeral but good deeds last forever. To celebrate, Rekha Devendra Somani’s short but a very purposeful life, her legacy, her impact on the society, Rekha Somani Foundation aims to provide free education, training, food and accommodation for pursing the course in Udaipur, Rajasthan for aspiring but underprivileged students so they qualify as Chartered Accountant.
