Rekha Somani Foundation has been set up in loving memory of Rekha Somani who left us at a tender age of 49. Rekha Somani was a brilliant scholar and woman of many talents, but above all, she was a woman of extraordinary kindness. After completing her MPhil in Economics, Rekha Somani made profound impact to the lives of many students first as a Professor of Economics and then as a Principal. Always in quest for knowledge, Rekha Somani qualified as Chartered Accountant at the age of 40 while raising two beautiful daughters and helping her husband CA Devendra Somani in his professional practice. Never to rest on her laurels, Rekha Somani soon after started educating and training young students for Chartered Accountancy qualification.

Humans are ephemeral but good deeds last forever. To celebrate, Rekha Somani’s short but a very purposeful life, her legacy, her impact on the society, Rekha Somani Foundation provides free education, training, food and accommodation for three years in Udaipur to up to 100 aspiring but underprivileged children so they qualify as Chartered Accountant.
